Advanced BioMatrix debuts CytoSoft T flasks for cell culture

April 20, 2021 -- Advanced BioMatrix has introduced its new line of CytoSoft flasks for cell culture.

The CytoSoft T-25 and T-75 flasks contain a thin layer of biocompatible silicone that's formulated to a specific thickness: 0.2, 0.5, 2, 8, 16, 32, or 64 kPa. This stiffness range mimics the human body, from the softness of the brain to the hardness of cartilage, according to the vendor.

The CytoSoft flasks have more surface area than the company's CytoSoft 6, 24, and 96-well plates, enabling greater cell expansion and passaging on an in vivo-like substrate, Advanced BioMatrix said. The firm said that the silicone surfaces adhere to a wide range of extracellular matrices for optimal cell growth and conditions.
