Corning Life Sciences recently developed a set of innovative design changes to one of its most popular and long-standing products — the Corning® 75 cm2 tissue culture flask (right). The new T75 flask (left) would replace, not complement, the current product, so Corning turned to cell biology experts from The Science Advisory Board to make sure that scientists would the benefit of the proposed enhancements to the T75 flask and would be willing to adopt the enhanced product. This input provided the basis for Corning’s decision to move forward with the enhanced design.
“The Corning 75 cm2 flask has been in the market for 40 years. We needed input from The Science Advisory Board to make sure our customers — cell biologists — saw the benefit of the changes we were proposing and that they would be willing to adopt the enhanced product.”
