Medical Automation: Healthcare for the Future

CONTENTS:

Conference Information

The Science Advisory Board is proud to sponsor The 2nd Medical Automation International Conference and Exhibition which will focus on technology to solve the health care cost crisis in industrialized nations. While the First Medical Automation Conference, held in Finlandia Hall, Helsinki, Finland dealt with a new paradigm, wireless medicine, the second conference addresses the rational use of technology for improved health and lower costs. The conference is subtitled, "Caring Machines, Optimal Medicine." In hundreds of applications from electronic medical records to emergency services to assisted living, opportunities exist for automated solutions offering better health at lower expense-for individuals and for the national economy. This conference will bring those opportunities before a distinguished audience.

Our sponsorship of this prestigious event represents another major step forward for The Science Advisory Board. Partnering with MedicalAutomation.org is in keeping with our mission to help connect leading scientists and physicians and accelerate the development of new technologies. We have disseminated this information in a press release through a variety of sources. You can find that press release at http://www.scienceboard.net/resources/macpr.asp.

Note from author Andy Kessler

Andy Kessler, author of "The End of Medicine: How Silicon Valley (and naked mice) will reboot your doctor is enthusiastic about the conference and was willing to attend as a speaker but prior commitments prevented him from doing so. Instead he wrote a letter addressed to members of The Science Advisory Board. You can read it here.

More about MedicalAutomation.org:

MedicalAutomation.org is a non-profit organization that has been organized to better inform all health care consumers about new health improvements and cost saving technologies. Medicine has always involved the pairing of knowledge and technology in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Physicians of the twenty-first century have at their disposal an overwhelming abundance of new technologies, however the challenge now becomes how best to select and implement the new technologies for effective and efficient patient treatment.

MedicalAutomation.org is holding their conference November 1st through the 3rd at Lansdowne Resort, Loudoun County, Virginia; just 15 minutes from Dulles Airport (Washington, D.C., USA).

This conference is the first International conference to focus on the medical process, and how technology can be used to increase efficiency, improve outcomes, and reduce errors. The first conference, held in Helsinki, Finland covered the emerging world of wireless medicine. For a conference summary, click here. Limited seating in Washington D.C. will fill up quickly, so if you wish to attend, you must register now to reserve your space!
