Haemophilia B Mutation Database

www.kcl.ac.uk/ip/petergreen/haemBdatabase.html

Rating:

This is a database of point mutations and short additions and deletions in the factor IX gene that causes hemophilia B disease.  It's a very comprehensive collection of most known mutations of factor IX gene associated with hemophilia B. I use this website for my hemophilia research project because it provides me with a lot of information about which amino acid is important.  By looking through this database you can learn a lot about the structure and function relationship of factor IX at amino acid level.

It would be nice to add all other large fragment insertion and deletion that causes hemophilia B as well.  I also would like to see similar database for other coagulation factors such as factor X, VII and VIII.  Factor FVIII gene defect can cause hemophilia A.
