The Science Advisory Board welcomes new applications for membership!

How to Apply:

Registering for membership takes only a few minutes! You will fill out your research affiliation and contact information, then be given a short survey of questions regarding your qualifications, interests, the type of research your do, procedures you conduct and the equipment you use.

Survey Participation:

Our membership records are stored in a proprietary database and are used to determine whether you meet the criteria requested for specific market research studies. If we think your profile qualifies you for a survey, The Science Advisory Board will e-mail you an invitation to inform you of this opportunity. You may elect not to participate in a survey and still maintain your membership.

Rewarding Your Participation:

You will be compensated with Rewards Points or a chance to win special prizes each time you complete a survey by the required deadline. You may redeem your points for items in the Rewards Catalog at any time. You will usually receive items from the Rewards Catalog within two weeks after placing your order, however, some international orders may take somewhat longer. If a particular item is out-of-stock, we will alert you to the situation and give you the opportunity to select an alternate item. The Science Advisory Board reserves the right to substitute an equivalent product for any of the gifts in our catalog. If your organization does not permit the acceptance of gratuities, we will be happy to make a monetary contribution to the charity of your choice.

Our Goal:

The goal of The Science Advisory Board is to improve communications between medical and life science professionals and the companies who provide this community with products and services.

To accomplish this goal, The Science Advisory Board conducts surveys about the products and services you currently use. Companies value this information and use it to improve existing products and services or to develop new ones that better meet the needs of their customers -- our members. Because we value your frank and unbiased participation in these surveys, we have created a virtual advisory board where your identity is protected.

Other Ways To Express Your Opinion:

Occasionally, we may offer you the opportunity to participate in a live focus group or telephone interview based upon your unique qualifications. Should you choose to participate, your Rewards Points account will be credited with additional points. In addition, The Science Advisory Board offers you the following benefits and services including discussion forums, book reviews, editorials, website reviews, product announcements, job postings, which are contributed by our members.

How We Use Your Information:

This information will only be used to ensure that you are invited to participate in studies that match your areas of expertise and, where appropriate, to verify your qualifications and award your honoraria.

Advertising:

We are not affiliated with advertisers or marketers. We will NEVER try to sell you a product or service of any kind.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for membership, you must be employed full-time in an organization engaged in any aspect of life science research or clinical care. Applications from full-time graduate students and post-doctoral fellows are also welcome, however, undergraduate students will not be accepted to the Board at this time.

Privacy:

No personally identifying information will ever be released to any third-party. We will never release your identity or personal information to third parties unless you authorize us to do so or the law compels us to.

Sometimes we receive introduction requests. You will be informed if someone requests your information, but we will never pass on your contact information to a third party without your explicit consent. It is your decision to who you want to connect with.

Security

We personally store our membership data and information, making us less vulnerable to large scale hacking. We have employed a security system at our physical site and with our computer systems, databases, and communications networks to effectively protect information contained within our systems from loss, misuse, or alteration.

Discontinuing Membership

You are never under any contractual obligations and may discontinue your membership at anytime. You may end your status without any obligation as a Science Advisory Board member at any time by contacting us at questions@scienceboard.net with a message containing your screen name and/or your email address with which you are registered.

Your Consent

By accessing The Science Advisory Board services and software, you signify your acceptance of this Membership Policy. We reserve the right to modify this Membership Policy at any time. Your continued use of any portion of the The Science Advisory Board Website will constitute your acceptance of these changes.
