Steering CommitteeThe Science Advisory Board Steering Committee is composed of eight individuals from the medical and life sciences community who have been chosen as a result of their diverse backgrounds, professional achievements and past contributions to The Science Advisory Board. Steering Committee members represent the Board to the public, as well as advise the Board on issues of importance. The Science Advisory Board StaffThe Science Advisory Board is staffed by three individuals, including Greg Thompson, Director of The Science Advisory and two Member Coordinators, Yali Izegbu and Angela Fernandez.Greg Thompson, Director, The Science Advisory Board Greg brings a very diverse background to The Science Advisory Board. He was previously a Manager, Proposal Development, at Eurofins Medinet a leading provider of contract research services for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. In this role he gained exposure to many technologies including clinical diagnostics, bioanalytical testing and clinical trial design and implementation. Greg has also worked as a Research Associate for Human Genome Sciences, where he developed and validated numerous excipient and impurity assays in support of product CMC filings, manufacturing process validation, and product release testing. Greg received an M.B.A. from Georgetown University, an M.S. in Biochemistry from Louisiana State University, and a B.S. from Millsaps College in Jackson, MS. Ms. Izegbu users her extensive foreign lanugage skills to adeptly communicate with a large part of The Science Advisory Board community from around the world, as well as with other organizations. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree from George Mason University. She earned a B.S. in Biology, and previously worked as a conference sales manager for one of the largest boutique hotels in Washington, DC, where she worked closely with many scientific organizations form around the nation. Angela has coordinated conferences for the NIH, NAS, AAS, NASA and the American Cancer Society. These prior experiences give Angela a unique perspective on membership coordination and service.
